Ability of keeping balance isn’t as easy as you think, especially for snowboard beginners. Above you can become familiar with some excercises wich will probably make profit in further learning.

Excercising of your sense of balance.

You can excercise balance keeping. You must recall your first attempts of riding a bike or skating. Beginnings are always difficult, but you shouldn’t lose your heart. It is also possible that you will catch your balance on the snowboard very quickly. You must train to the end- it won’t be for sure a waste of your time!

Transportation the weight of your body on the carves.

While standing on your toes you must weigh down a front carve, and while standing on your heels you must weigh down a back carve. Then balance and try to press on your carves stronger and stronger to appoint a limits on which you can balance. You can also try to stand on one of your carves as long as you can. Ability to transmit a pressure from one carve to another is a base for cut turnings, that’s why you should master this ability to perfection.

Transportation the weight of your body on the front and on the back.

Standing on your foreleg you must transport the weight of your body on the front. Standing on your back leg you must transport the weight of your body on the back. In the beginning try to “swing” on the board. Then try to stand on the “beak” and next on the back of your snowboard and stand as long as you can. It is very important excercise because it lets you to master a basic ability which is indispensable on fluent turning and on changing direction during your ride. If any of these marked elements is difficult for you should concentrate on it longer.
