snowboard bindingsWhen we have already bought a snowboard, we just have to buy bindings, because without them riding would be impossible. When we take bindings into consideration the case is very easy, because now we don’t have to think which bindings we should buy- these expensive and very good whether these cheap for learning. Bindings can be screwed to a new board without any problems, so if you have money for a very good bindings you can buy it, but in the beginning you won’t be able to use all their properties. While buying your bindings you should pay attantion to such elements like: heel, buckles, high back and bindings base. It’s obvious, that bindings with metal buckles are more resistant than bindings with buckles made of plastic, but they have one disadvantage- they destroy bindings straps much faster. Next element is a heel- if it’s aluminium it is very good because you have a guarantee that bindings will stay vital. Heels made of plastic are also very resistant and they are sufficient for riding or jumping. Next we must pay attention to high back- it’s a “spoon” situated in the end of binding. It must be very good adjusted. In freestyle we use shorter high backs than e.g. in freeride, because it makes fluent turning on carves much easier. Presently there are also accelerator and brake in bindings, which make easier turning by toes (especially for people who have big feet) and turning by heels. In more expensive models of bindings there are also special pads which are absorbing all vibrations.
