Snowboard is such kind of sport in which ability to observe the area is very important. It is very useful mostly in difficult riding conditions and on the virgin area, where we never know what can we expect. When our eye is well trained we won’t have any problems with choosing an optimal board run. Very good method to perfect this ability is riding “behind a guide”. It is very important for you to train a habit of attentive observing of your run before going down. If you want to be perfect rider you must learn how to appraise a speed and distance and how to avoid flat parts of the slope. It is very important for you to learn how to read the line of a slope, changes of ground configuration, you must notice places where you will have to make a jump, passage or change a speed. Acquiring of this ability will make easier to you making indispensable corrections and adapting to still changing ground conditions.
And here we have some abilities of master of freeride:
- Well trained sense of observation
- Ability to increase or decrease your speed during the estimation of distance
- Ability to change the forms of turnings very fast in order to adapt to ground conditions
