Snowboarder dress is a very important thing. It isn’t very difficult to dress yourself anyhow; the most important thing is to dress youself so that weather conditions wouldn’t surprise you. The base of your dress are: pants, jacket, gloves, cap and (especially in very hard weather conditions like frosty wind) protection of your face may be very useful. Presently there are a lot of jackets and pants on the market, they have different quality and that is why we should think over what do we expect of our wardrobe.

Pants

Pants are the base of the snowboarder dress. They are very important and should meet two basic roles: they should’t get wet and they should be warm. Presently technological solutions are still proceeding, pants are made of waterproof and wind-resistant materials and addictionally they have respiring membrane. Pants with parameters of 20000 mm of waterproof and 10000mg of respiring are very good and they won’t get wet even in the most difficult conditions. It may surprise you how pants made of such thin material may give so much warmth. It’s all because off this special membrane (e.g. GORE-TEX). Pants are very worth of investing because on the slope they are the closest thing for your body.

Jacket

Jacket- another very important thing for every snowboarder, but it is rather big expenditure. If you want to have very good jacket which will have big respire-ability, which is waterproof and will have a lot of useful pockets you will have to spend about 600 zl. There are also cheaper but not necessarily worse jackets- but it is rather big expenditure anyhow. Lately more and more popular is RECCO system- jacket with this system has a mirror, which sends signals with very high frequency to receipting appliance, which looks for people covered by avalanches. Spending these money you may be sure that your jacket won’t disappoint you even in very difficult conditions.

Gloves

Good gloves is next very important thing. First of all they should be made of very resistant materials, which won’t get wet. Snowboard gloves have a lot of gadgets like inserts stiffening your wrists, fleece on the thumb for wippening your nose, patent for erasing your goggles, cuff welts and pulling out internal inserts. All these elements cause that gloves are indispensable on the slope.
