Future Proof is a film which appeared in 2005/2006 season. Film comes from Absinthe and it lasts 41 minutes. It is worth emphasizing that this valuable time won't be wasted. In the beginning film is untypical, futuristic. Namely we can see flying spaceship, some guys are entering and then the spaceship is taking off- then there is a presentation of particular people starring in this film, sponsors, etc. After this introduction the main action starts. Action starts with stylish freeride. Anyway there is nothing to hide- whole film is kept in such composition- freeride and jumps at virgin area dominate. If you are a freeride supporter then you will be fascinated about amazing downhill riding at virgin area where nobody puts his feet before. Very impressive are downhill rides from mountain peaks when guys rides down almost vertical walls- it makes a strong impression!!! On the one hand it looks trivially and nicely, but on the other these people must really over-come their reluctance to ride down such peak where every sharper turn may cause an avalanche. Film surprises with a very big variety of scenes, some fragments are filmed from the helicopter, there are also some fragments filmed from the tree, on the back, and in the front what causees that this film doesn't become monotonous and at the same time these scenes cause that you can feel this speed and an adrenalin.
Just as I wrote before, freeride and jumps at virgin area dominate here. Referng to these second there are many inteesting scenes, e.g. when one guy rides on a jump, takes off nicely, then he flies, flies and suddenly he falls into the branches on one tree which was standing beside and leter he falls very freely into the powder. And there are many such interesting scenes what emphasises all values of the film. This part of the film with participation of Jules Raymond is very nice, especially the music which perfectly suits all tricks and the scenery. It's a little bit changed composition which comes from classical music but it is really nice to watch and hear this part of the film: ) In the second part of the film there is a little bit of jibbing, especially the town jibbing- many rails, waste pipes, transformer boxes etc.
If we take into consideration all scenes, film montage and the music we must say that it is really good film and the team from the Absinth rose to the occasion. Also snowboarders rose to the occasion because they made all tricks at a very high level. There are many different tricks here but also there are some easier ones: ) Summarizing it is a very good film with a very good montage and very weel matched music.
