All good things come in threes. And so Lower Austria’s biggest snowboard contest goes into its third round on the 7th of February 2009! The Hochkar Open is more than one local contest in a mass of many others. The excellent setup in the Senonerpark Hochkar, the prize money and the booming freestyle scene in the east of Austria, the region Mostviertel and the neighbouring countries Hungary, Slovakia and the Czech Republic stand for more!

On Saturday 09.02.2008 it will be “rotated” and “styled” again at the Senonerpark Hochkar, right at the chairlift “Almlift”. The Hochkar Open 09 is once again a tour stop of the Austrian contest tour N.ASA (New Austrian Snowboard Association). The main purpose of the N.ASA contest series is to give upcoming riders the possibility to gain their first real contest experience and present themselves to a wider audience of industry and media representatives.

The event on Hochkar will be held as a Big Air with an open qualification and finals in a K.O. system – this guarantees a lot of thrill! The considerable amount of EUR 1.000,- price money awaits the winners. Additional the best 3 men, best 3 girls and best 3 rookies qualify for the “Shred down Austrian Masters 09”. Everyone can take part on the Hochkar Open, riders under the age of 16 years will be judged in an own youth – ranking. For those ones who are not competing there will be fine tunes and a nice chill area to watch.
