With the slogan „The absolute Madness“ the last weekend the Snowpark Lenzerheide once again opened its doors fort he first contest highlight within the March Madness series.

On Saturday the riders showed what a freestyle party should look like: Sunny spring conditions, a perfect park-set up, funky DJ performance, a BBQ station and cool drinks of Angel & Eve built the right mood for the Heavy Metal Rail Session, a jib contest for everybody.

Only the enormous effort of the shape crew till the morning hours on Friday night made the contest possible. Due tot he nice weather conditions around 40 freestyle hungry riders found their way up tot he snowpark Lenzerheide and was ready to ride. And the 600 guests in the snowpark got a good show to watch, when the Rail

Session started: The competitors battled for CHF 2´500.- and showed outstanding tricks on the rails and boxes of the snowpark: Some tried „backflips out and at the end oft he jam session we got lucky riders and more lucky winners: Fabian Braitsch from Wolfurt (Austria) dominated not just the best-bail contest, but also the best-trick an ended up in 3rd position in the category freeski men. The absolute madness and winner of this category was the local freeskier Silvan Jägger from Chur. In the category snowboard men took “Chrigl” Christian Bertschi from Oberflachs the honor and all the prizemoney of CHF 550.- back home! And in the category snowboard and freeski women, Jenny Buser from Küttigen was the lucky winner in the end.

The nice and warm weather conditions and the good mood in the snowpark found its final while the prizegiving at 3.30 p.m.!

The Afterparty in the Cinema Music Club in the Kurhaus Lenzerheide was so stuffed before midnight and more than 300 party people danced and laughed till the morning hours.

Due to the bad weather conditions on Sunday, the Park Party had to be cancelled. But nevertheless the weekend was with the Rail Session one oft he season´s highlights. And because March is not ended yet, there will two other Weekends full of madness and good party mood. Be there, party with us…
