SUMMER CAMP AT THE STATION

Mammoth Lakes, CA (April 11, 2011) - The Station, a non-°©‐profit youth camp in Mammoth

Lakes, CA, has recently announced that they will be hosting their first ever summer snowboard

camp this June. This 6-°©‐night session will have campers spending four full days riding at

Mammoth Mountain with coaches and guest pros. Additionally, they will be provided home-°©‐

cooked meals and resting in comfortable cabins, while also spending their free time at the

Volcom Brothers Skate Park as well as rock climbing. Mammoth Mountain has the most

incredible snow for almost 10 months out of the year. It is a perfect place to shred and train in

the winter, spring and summer!

The best part about this June snowboarding session? It only costs $799. “The Station wants to

make sure that ALL kids can have an opportunity to have an action sports camp experience, so

we are committed to keeping our camp prices affordable,” says Rachel Bowman, Camp Director

for The Station. “Many kids have incredible talent and can benefit from a camp experience

with incredible coaching, but they may not be able to afford it. The Station has recognized a

need in the action sports industry for a high quality yet affordable camp.”

Although this is their first summer snowboard camp, it is not the first action sports camp for

The Station. Since 2009, they have held several action sports snowboarding sessions for kids

from all around the US, as well as organized snowboarding camps for inner-°©‐city youth and

foster groups. The Station also incorporates snowboarding and other action sports like rock

climbing and mountain biking into their programming for all of their individual, group and team

camps. The goal is a quality program that instills a great sense of accomplishment for every

camper as they step outside their comfort zone in each action sport.

Dates for the session are June 20-°©‐26, 2011. Registration is due by June 1st and interested

campers must be between the ages of 10 and 20.
