What’s not to like about Jake Blauvelt? He quits a cushy position on the Forum team, sacks his agent, disappears to surf in Costa Rica for a couple of months, then reappears to forge a more independent snowboarding career…. which basically means moving down the road from Mt Baker and chasing powder all winter along with fellow free spirits like Nicolas Müller. His TV series, Blauvelt’s Backcountry, replaced the traditional 3 minute video part, but if that proved too much for your internet-addled short attention span then he’s just released this epic ‘best of’ highlights reel via his Vimeo channel. Yep, he’s nice like that.
