This winter aspiring photographers from around the world submitted there favorite photos to specifically themed contests for a chance to win photo prizes, the grand prize being a spot at High Cascade Snowboard Camp’s Photo Workshop this summer. It started off in January with the theme Backyard Boardin’, onto Sequence This, Night Moves, Spring Break, and wrapped up with last Friday’s announcement of the winner for the Industrial Revolution theme. The winner of each separate contest won a Burton Photo Pack and a pair of Celtek’s photo. Here are the five finalists: One of the exciting parts of this contest has been seeing it evolve from last year, especially with submissions coming from more than just North America. We received images from Austria, Italy, and Russia. Each winning photo held it’s own originality. You can tell these photographers cared about making their image. Selecting the overall winner wasn’t an easy decision. But when the votes were turned in by the crew here at TWSnow and the HCSC Photo Workshop staff, the photo that was liked the most was the “Night Moves” winner. We have our first international winner, congratulations goes out to Kolya Tsarev of Moscow! A HUGE thank you goes out to all the photographers who entered their images. It was pleasure having you each involved. Be sure to stayed tuned on TWSnow.com for other photo opportunities. |
