Jumping in the Flow Van leaving Sunny San Clemente for a week of doublecork adventures in Lake Tahoe.

Ahhhh, 4th of July Weekend in Tahoe. Where the beer Flows like drunken women in rubber dingys down the Truckee River, the burgers taste of rich mahogany, and the brownies everyone is eating make you feel kinda funny. I dunno about anyone else, but I saw none of that. I was locked away in my hotel room with our filmer, Drew. Sucks, but the Flow movie isn’t going to make itself. We didn’t come to Tahoe to be all depressed about missing holidays and making movies though. We came to meet up with Mr. Scotty Lago and Mr. Jeremy Thompson. The goal? To try and learn some shiny new moves on our stuntboards.

We didn't really get to go out on Tahoe, but Donner Lake is the next best thing, right?! Photo: Curley

Before we went to Boreal, we made a quick pitstop in ASI to see if anything was still hittable, and just to see what it looks like underneath. Rest assured, it's just big ass 20ft boulders. Stock Rock wasn't looking too bad considering it's July.

ASI was looking a little Low Tide, but there was no shortage of snow over at Boreal.

Big Upps to Boreal, Rosenwald, Lane, and Jr for building us a jump and keepin it pimped out!!

We spent our first 3 days on snow with the Bag Jump. We had a pretty mellow jump set up into it the first day, but it needed some adjustment because our forward momentum was making us rag doll on the bag and hit our heads. 2nd and 3rd days we had a lot poppier of a jump and a little bit less distance to the bag, which gave us more airtime and less tumbling on the bag. It definitely hurts less landing on the bag, but you can still get hurt. I had a constant awful headache the whole time from slamming my head repeatedly. Everything has a price though.

The last 2 days on snow, we rolled up the bag and moved it out of the way… which sucked major ass because that thing is fkin heavy.. 2200lbs I believe. We had Eric push us up a nice landing slope, and decided to take some of our shiny new moves to the snow. We were throwing ourselves all sorts of crazy ways, and maybe even learned a thing or two.

I know I learned that snow burn fuckin hurts and that I should really try and land harder.
