BURLINGTON, VT (August 11, 2011) Sources confirm that the winter ’storm’ that Burton has been tracking for 10 days will definitely hit authorized dealers this coming weekend.

Tomorrow night the storm moves into range, as Burton opens its global headquarters for a company launch countdown to 8/13 when winter 2012 officially arrives in stores. All of the action will be broadcasted live via Burton’s Winter Storm Warning webcast hosted on Facebook at www.facebook.com/burtonsnowboards on Friday, August 12 from 10:00pm - 12:00am EST. Riders will definitely want to tune in to see everything from sneak peeks of the new 2012 gear, live event updates and antics by Burton’s own ‘anchormen’ Jack Mitrani, Kevin Pearce and Mikey Rencz, and live chat with team and Jake Burton.

The storm will then arrive full force on Saturday, August 13, bringing Burton’s 2012 gear and consumer catalog into shops for the first time. To weather this storm, snowboarders are encouraged to head to ‘Party Bunkers’ on 8/13 where they will find 2012 gear, catalogs, food, drinks, prizes and the chance to win $1000 worth of Burton product at each location. For other refuge, riders can also head to ‘Safe Shelters’ where 2012 gear, and catalogs will be waiting.
