 From the glacier to the town centre: With the change of location to Saalbach Hinterglemm, the next Roxy Chicken Jam will take place only 200m away from the town centre and will, thus, attract more people than ever before. Concerts and parties will provide for some additional festival atmosphere. The park at the bottom of the Unterschwarzach lift will be shaped according to the world’s best snowboarders’ needs and will have two jib sets in the beginning and end of the run as well as a line consisting of three kickers in the middle. The event starts off with qualifications on Friday, January 8th 2010. The finals will take place on Saturday: Sunday will serve as bad weather day. The Roxy Chicken Jam in Europe at the beginning of the winter and in the USA at the end of the season are 6Star Events and count among the biggest and most important competitions on the Swatch TTR World Snowboard Tour for women. While Saalbach Hinterglemm gives out crucial points for the rest of the season, the Roxy Chicken Jam USA in Mammoth from March 25th to 28th, 2010, crowns the female Swatch TTR World Champion. With 1000 TTR ranking points available at both contests, the winner can leave her competitors behind in the race for the World Champion title. Both events’ snowparks and formats are adapted to girls. Without any guys at the competition, the girls are among themselves which in the end leads to a far stronger performance.
