Celebrating its tenth birthday this year, the legendary Red Bull Nanshan Open becomes a 5Star TTR event in 2012 to become the largest slopestyle event in Asia. Twenty-two international invited pros will compete with seven locally qualified riders on a specially designed slopestyle course in the Nike Nanshan Park. The two day competition held January 14th - 15th attracts widespread international media attention and national TV coverage, making a huge impact on the nation's snowboard scene. Catch some of the world's top snowboarders battle it out for US $50,000 prize money, global TTR ranking points and of course...fame and glory! This year sees the addition of live TV coverage for the event, a first for a slopestyle event on Chinese television. Open to 22 invited international pro riders and 7 locally qualified riders. Each rider will have three runs; the best 1 out of 3 counts, and the top 12 will progress onto Sunday's competition.
