It seems too sad to be true. The last skiing resorts in the Alps have closed their gates before us and again, the unwanted truth has become obvious. Also this winter didn’t last forever… However, there’s a silver lining on the horizon! On the 29th of May, while everyone else is lying around idly in the sun in boredom, the cool ones meet up there on the Dachstein glacier and celebrate eternal winter-style in the Horsefeathers Superpark Dachstein!

Since 2004 the Superpark is a QPark and thus member of the largest quality-network for freestyle snowparks in the Alps. Together with the long-term partners Blue Tomato, Adidas Eyewear and Horsefeathers, one of the best terrain-parks Europe has ever seen was realized.

In the last year, the Czech shooting-star fashion-brand Horsefeathers became the new title-sponsor of the Superpark Planai and soon after, also the cooperation between Dachstein and Horsefeathers has reached the next level: Since mid-December the brand is also the main sponsor of the legendary Superpark Dachstein, from then on labeled Horsefeathers Superpark Dachstein! In great collaboration, the Schladming-Dachstein region has turned into a real freestyle Garden-Eden, with almost 10 months of freestyle pleasure throughout the year!

Through its special location, the Dachstein glacier guarantees snow-fun also in the summer months and traditionally cuts in with the Horsefeathers Superpark Planai that closed its gates some weeks ago. As the easternmost glacier of the Alps but aligned north, the Dachstein stops all the clouds from pulling through and generates cool temperatures and heavy snowfalls. As a matter of fact it is one of the snow-richest glaciers in Europe and offers excellent conditions for winter sports over the whole year. Logically, QParks has established one of the greatest snowparks in Europe up there and so besides its blessed location, the professional know-how of the designers is responsible for the tremendous quality of the snowpark!

For the summer season, the setup will see another upgrade: Among many other surprises, a line of four rails will be placed - a unique gadget in the Alps! For the Opening, the Horsefeathers Superpark will wait for you in its whole setup which will be similar to last year. Instead of the corner, a brand-new medium boxes line will be waiting where everyone can master his/her sliding skills! Needless to say, on the May 29th, visitors can expect a loaded program and you can be sure that the sponsors Horsefeathers, Blue Tomato and Adidas will provide some high value goodies for you to take home! For all those who want to experience something special and re-think their concept of alpine Shredding: At the Dachstein Summer Opening 2010 freestyle stands in the foreground and all addicts will meet on top of the “Styrian rock” to live it up!
